Turkey lurky

The smallest turkey I could find was about nine pounds, so that's what we cooked, complete with homemade bread and cornbread stuffing, cranberries, and a few other items. No dessert, although I had purchased a can of whipping cream just in case. You never know when you might need to spray some into your mouth, or onto your morning espresso...
Separate holiday wishes arrived in text form from dear offspring and his dear ex-girlfriend; my heart may be aching more than his over this divide. So it goes.

Musical joy

Our concert band, the Rainbow City Band of Seattle, an LGBTQQA joint, has a holiday concert on December 3 at 3:00. If anybody out there will be in town on that date, please come see our performance, with its Celtic theme. Plus some Hannukah tunes as well! I love this group. They have accepted us as an old breeder couple, and we support them as friends. We work together to make sweet music, and advance human rights as well.

Birthday week

Yeah, yeah, another one's rolling around. Got band rehearsal, and am trying for lots of climbing gym sessions, just to blast the bejeezus out of the aging process. Stupid time, running along so speedily.
