The guys got back from their weekend mountaineeering safely, some time in the early hours of this morning. They had a good approach and climb, and the pictures of the Colchuck Balance Rock looked very good.

The weather has been fantastic, hasn't it? Perfect for walks down by the water.
Yes, it has, and tomorrow I and possibly both of us are heading out on a 14 mile round trip hike in the Cascades, with a little easy summit of one of the peaks...
Just a sweet escape from regular life.
The cascades are wonderful this time of year. I love the stretch that approaches the Columbia River and beyond.
Have a great hike. HOpefully you will be camping overnight. Viewing stars is a good remedy for what ails us.
