icy grip weakening

So the weather pundits say; during an afternoon walkabout, I could almost agree, but in the evening, once again we needed our Michelin Man down jackets. Not detecting so much aggressive holiday marketing while out and about, and not as many houses are illuminated at night. Perhaps a general belt-tightening is occurring. The most aggression I encountered all day was from what looked like a thirty pound long-haired Siamese, who flounced down some steps and rammed into my leg, then paraded away more swiftly than it looked like it could, after sensing my awe and obeisance to its majesty.
