Winged time
Still cool up here, and I like it. Not sure why so many people are whining about the "lack of summer." All they need to do is go visit anywhere else on the continent, or just drive over the mountains here if they want to swelter and suffer.
Family visitors recently, and a more enjoyable than expected event with our aged mother; not recalled at all soon after, but in the moment it was good.

you're right. why the heck would i want sun where i live when i can just drive a few hours away to get it? never mind that i have a job and a house in the gloom. sheesh, problem solved. so easy. i should never complain again because it means i am stupid. so glad to have my opinion invalidated once again by seattlites. toe the line or else be ostracized from the community where only one opinion is accepted.
Whoa, dude. Simmer down.
Hello, I wondered what happened to you!
I'm not sure "stupid" was necessarily the corollary to her reflection, but take it as you might.
I'm really not finding my recreational opportunities hampered by our coolish summer, and I think mid-60s temperatures are a lot easier to manage here, where home air conditioning is not all that prevalent, than 80s - 90s.
After spending four years in the pacific northwest and then moving back to sunny California, I would ask for balance. The northwest could be a bit warmer and sunnier in the summer, and California could cool down a bit and maybe even have some cloudy/rainy days. I know that's too much to ask for, but still a girl can dream.
