The day came in like a lamb, and left like a kraken; our evening walk was rainy, then rainier, and cold, colder. Technically spring was to arrive at 10:46 P.M. I won't be awake to fete it.
Spring? Spring? Did someone say spring? It was a raw, chilly day here. I suppose that could count as the first day of spring, but maybe we need to change things to accommodate reality. Late in the day, as the clouds parted the afternoon sun was spectacular.
I've been around since the birth of rock and roll. Went off to college to get a B.F.A. - married my high school sweetheart, love of my life, with whom I still live -
Had a wonderful son, who taught me to climb, after teaching me to be a mother - got a graduate degree in education, taught classroom, tutored the three R's, taught art to elementary kids - I hope to keep active as long as I can.

Eventually this region will run out of water, according to projections about its growth; so I suppose we should enjoy whatever coolness we can...
