New Zola novel up, titled The Ladies' Paradise; subject matter in this one concerns the growth of a department store in Paris in the late 1800's, shadowing the historical growth of the world's first department store, the Bon Marche. Nothing I'd normally be engrossed by, but Zola, he is ze fabulous author, and has sucked me in once again. It's packed with human interest, and business details. Amazingly timeless.
