We cleaned out the fridge today. Just one of those days, and all those tupperware containers were emptied into the compost bucket. Farewell, we bid it all a farewell.
Yep, it all goes today. Some has already gone. I took what was left of the turkey's body into the woods day before yesterday and left it for the wild things to enjoy. Went back to check on it yesterday and there was no trace of it. I'm betting some wild things are sleeping with a full tummy.
Good work, all! Wild things in our neighborhood include rats, raccoons and opossums, none of which we really want around much, so we can't put anything meat or dairy in our compost or yard waste. Not enough elbow room for all the poor critters in Seattle.
I've been around since the birth of rock and roll. Went off to college to get a B.F.A. - married my high school sweetheart, love of my life, with whom I still live -
Had a wonderful son, who taught me to climb, after teaching me to be a mother - got a graduate degree in education, taught classroom, tutored the three R's, taught art to elementary kids - I hope to keep active as long as I can.
