Summer!

Fabulous days; these are what we suffer through dark winter days for. Family visiting from out of town, lots of walking and talking, and we're having a swell time. The cat seems to be coming out of his fireworks-induced terrors, and all's well. Catching up with friends, exercising our rights to be fit.

Enjoy this fun time!

We were talking with some of our friends over July 4 about animals and the fear of firecrackers/fireworks. Our animals don't seem to notice (lucky us).

One of our friends uses melatonin for her anxious dog (per the vet's suggestion). Maybe it would work for cats, too?

Heh - I'll probably never know if it'd work on our cat, as it's worth one's digits to try to get a pill down his cute little gullet!
We are heading outside as much as possible, to drink in these amazing climatical conditions!

Cowering cats cringe cowardly at the cacophony.

I couldn't resist the alliteration.

Our cat did the same thing. Nothing a little cat nip won't cure.

Good to hear from you, 'spike. Huh - I never would have thought of catnip, but he certainly likes it. I'll get out his container of it!

Catnip - liqueur for cats.

How'd it go?
