A day in the life
Such wind today, whipping the cat across the street, where he then stared accusatorily at us as if we'd booted him out the front door rather than opening it at his insistence; he almost always wants to come with us on the walk, although there have been a few times, increasing lately as he ages, where he'll sit on the door mat assessing the temperature, then whisk right back in the house. Works up a guy's appetite for a few more dental crunchy treats.

mmmm, dental crunchy treats. Rico clearly knows the better part of valor.
Our kitty cat always wants to go out, until he sniffs the air at the open door and finds it not to his liking. Too cold, too damp, too windy. There were times in Port Townsend when the thing that kept him indoors was the smell of a coyote or a bobcat. At least for the time being he is free of those perils. Hope things are warming up for you.
Maybe he needs a little kitty parka.
Ah, yes, our feline masters know how to get us to put out; oh, and if I EVER dared to try to put any kind of covering on this cat, he'd have my guts for garters!
Still cold, windy, but at least today, Thursday, there was a jot of sun breaking through...
