1st hour of the 11th day of the 11th month

It's the day of my birth, and always a federal holiday. There's a glacier of a cake waiting to be cut. There have been football games viewed, walks taken, dinner eaten, and there is a party to attend. The political sea change earlier this week was a surge of positive energy to lift me higher on the rocky shore, a swell birthday gift.
And there'll be cake for a few breakfast to come.

Forgot to wish you a happy birthday yesterday! Typical. The woman who supplies me with tequila had a birthday on Thursday and last week I knew which bottle of wine I was going to give her. Thursday rolled around and I completely forgot until yesterday. This is why I think everyone should celebrate for an entire week -- gives be a better shot at being on time! :-)

Happy Birthday!

kathyr, thanks! We had a little aprty of friends and birthday people at a nice little wine bar.
It ain't global warming that's destroying the cake...

kona, thanks! I agree about extending the celebration period. The gathering for us birthday kids included birthdays which span two weeks.
Is your tequila a special kind, that you have it supplied to you?

Hey, Happy birthday Isa. Every day is a celebration this day forward.

Let's hope that political sea change works to our advantage.

Blog on sister, blog on all.

Thanks, 'spike. Celebration, yet not letting up on rounding up the scoundrels.

I'm late to the birthday party, but it's blogger's fault! I checked here yesterday and this post was not up yet! How weird is that?

I hope you had a fantastic birthday.

I celebrate your birthday like it was a day of national celebration (like the Democrats winning control of the House and Senate)! I'm late in doing so, of course, but I hope I'm forgiven...I found it tough to blog while slouching around without much Internet access. I'd send you a trinket from Beijing, but I don't have your address...and I encourage you NOT to post it on the Internet! I'll write something nice about you, how's that?
