Oatmeal and good cheer
Nothing like a heaping bowl of Bob's Red Mill Scottish Oatmeal on a cold spring day; then off to the climbing gym with a very good friend, where after a great night's sleep and all that steaming cereal, I felt as if I could have climbed K2 in a day. So much energy left over, I ran and lifted weights later on, after a very good elderwalk.
Marching forward in Voss; it is hinting at darkness ahead.

Yum! This winter I've made lots of oatmeal from steel cut oats (I think that's similar to Scottish oatmeal). Our favorite way to eat it is with some frozen blueberries and a handful of walnuts.
Power food!
This brand comes from Milwaukie, Oregon, and claims to be stone ground.
I love mine with butter, brown sugar and a little skim milk - beloved spouse likes raisins!
Dried cranberries and brown sugar and skim milk!
And try the Old Wessex 5 Grain hot cereal some time. Pretty good. Cooks in about 6 minutes.
Thanks for the tip, kathyr. I love multigrain cereals!
Which number is this on the Denny's menu?
