Hoarding inner warmth

It WAS lovely, warm and sunny where we were, just two days ago...it's hard to keep a grasp on that lift of the heart I felt as I wandered down the washes among the rocks, or scrambled atop the boulders. Hard because it's sluicing ice water back up here in the Pacific Northwest, and I feel I'm frantically trying to jack up my energy level with no environmental inspiration. Maybe baking bread will help.

Put on another pot of coffee and fire up some of them vegan chocolate doughnuts. That should do it Isa. I don't envy your sluicing rain/ice combo. Sunny here. Shorts on and I had a nice run this Am. Don't mean to rub it in, but simply suggest those days are round the bend for you.

The more you type about the weather the more I think your idea of a wetsuit for you mom and her walks sounds like a good idea, no?

PS. I'm blog rolling you Isa. I'm tired of forgetting to click on your location for my dose of sanity.

Baking bread is ALWAYS a comfort on a cold, gray day. The warm kitchen, the wonderful smells! Buying bread - like I do - isn't nearly so comforting...
