mas cuervos

Some of the businesses on a nearby street put out water and doggie treats. The crows know; the other day several of them gathered at the dishes to dip their beaks and examine the biscuits. As I approached, they grabbed pastel bones in their beaks and flew off.  Later the next week, I spotted a couple of the glossy  black rascals checking out an abandoned plastic toy dumptruck.  There was a repeating glassy crunching sound; the birds were hacking chunks off a block of ice they' d knocked out of the little truck bed. Crows chew ice?
Much new music for the next concert; many black notes flying across the page...
